Our Story

Taza began as an experiment in innovation by two engineering students, Nas and Ahmad, who transformed their university apartment into a mini hydroponic farm. Starting with oversized lettuce and a vision for growing better and faster while protecting the environment, their journey quickly captured attention.

In 2020, Taza earned a place among the world’s most promising student start-ups, winning the prestigious UN Hult Prize. Out of 125,000 entrants, Taza stood out as one of 10 start-ups to receive funding that year, marking the beginning of an incredible transformation.

Why Taza?

Our Vision

We believe in a future where every farmer can access fresh, affordable, and sustainable feed for their livestock. By harnessing the power of hydroponics, we aim to improve farm productivity, reduce environmental impact, and empower farmers worldwide.

From growing hyper-local produce for restaurants and consumers to designing cost-effective vertical farming systems, Taza has continuously pushed the boundaries of agricultural innovation. In 2024, backed by Zinc VC, we expanded into the animal feed sector, bringing our expertise to farmers seeking sustainable solutions for their dairy operations.
